DEMOS: We will be giving a variety of demos every day for the weeks of Dec. 8th and Dec. 15. These will range from notions to techniques. We will post a specific list the end of November. Demo time will be at 1pm.

WEEKEND: **W** ~ EVENING: **E**

HAND WORK/BOOKS ON TAPE
The first Monday of the month we get together and do hand work (no machines, please) and listen to a book.
A great, relaxing way to hear a variety of books while doing redwork, putting on binding,
hand appliqué, hand quilting, etc. No fee, just meet us at 6pm in the classroom.

MAKE IT & TAKE IT
The second Tuesday of every month we provide a great, affordable project.
The price is generally $10 and we provide everything but your machine and basic supplies.

UFO FRIDAYS

Watch the calendar for NO FEE, UFO Fridays.
Bring your Unfinished Objects and get them finished without distractions!

**BASIC QUILTMAKING** ~ **E**
All the fundamentals of quiltmaking discussed:
making color choices, selecting fabric, choosing notions and equipment, analyzing block layout,
template making and rotary cutting. Learn to hand and machine piece, hand appliqué and hand quilt.
This class provides a solid foundation for a lifetime of creativity and fun making quilts!

Using a Hanes brand sweatshirt (one without ribbing), put together a fast,

CHENILLE TECHNIQUES ~ **W**
Learn the technique of making chenille using flannels or brushed cottons.
Kathy will show you many options for using chenille in a variety of projects.

A SNIPPETS BOUQUET
These fabric bouquets are fun, fast, and easy! If you are ready for a break from 1/4” seams and accurate piecing, this class is a refreshing departure. No rules, just snipping.

CHRISTMAS STOCKING ~ **W**
In this class we will make a cute Christmas stocking that is quick and easy to make.
Students will leave with at least one completed stocking.

BEGINNER'S BASKET
Students will learn how to use a rotary cutter to cut fabric strips,
how to sew a scant 1/4” seam, and how to use “Thangles” brand
paper for making half square triangles. During the second half of the class,
students will be taught how to baste the quilt and attach a binding.

Rings That Bind
( TWO PARTS)

(No Enlargement)
We will discuss and explore the possibilities of what can be done with the interior portion of each double wedding ring (the possibilities are endless). Design and plan pieced or whole arcs. Linda will then walk you through the construction process as you make either a table runner or a four block wallhanging. This new way of putting together Double Wedding Rings has at least three advantages:
quilt each block before assembling the quilt, no small pieces cut for pieced arcs and no binding!

RAGGY RAIL FENCE
Learn the technique of “ragging” and make a generous lap size quilt.
You will get most of your quilt finished in class.

PINEAPPLE PLACEMATS
These wonderful foundation pieced placemats are much easier than they look!
Similar to log cabin technique, just add strips and flip your way around the center.
Use 2 fabrics or several for a variety of looks.
They make easy, beautiful gifts-just in time for Christmas.
Make one to learn how, or, stay all day and make a set!
Pattern provided, must have pineapple ruler.
